Zamaan is a student at American University in Washington DC where he is studying International Relations and Political Science. Zamaan feels it is important that teenagers are educated in what is going on in the world, because "teenagers, and this generation are the next leaders of the world."

Zamaan works on policy and social media for The Real Facebook Oversight Board, a researcher at The Citizens, and the Director of Business Development at Overlooked.

He has worked on a political campaign, founded and run a nonprofit, and done various graphic design work for different individuals and organizations.

Zamaan has previous experience as the chief editor of the Muslim Leadership's Academy student newspaper and the journalist for the Hinsdale Central varsity soccer team.
